Compatibility laboratory in SIMT achieves accreditation
The electromagnetic compatibility laboratory in Shanghai Institute of Measurement and Testing Technical Research (SIMT) was accredited by Caterpillar (CAT) in the United States.
This is the first time for such a laboratory in China to be recognized by the world's leading manufacturer.
Founded in 1925, CAT is one of the world's largest engineering car manufacturers. To satisfy the localization of electronic parts, CAT aims to seek cooperation with a third-party laboratory in China to conduct electromagnetic compatibility test of electronic parts.
After several efforts, the electromagnetic compatibility laboratory developed by SIMT has achieved the company’s standards in quality system, personnel capacity, and equipment capacity.
To date, SIMT's electromagnetic compatibility laboratory boasts the world’s leading level in testing automotive electronic parts.
