Prada visits SIMIT for technological exchange
A delegation from Prada, the famous global fashion brand, was given a tour of the National Center of Quality Supervision & Inspection on Gold-Silver Products in the Shanghai Institute of Measurement and Testing Technology (SIMT) in Shanghai on Nov 22.
Led by Andrea D'Ippolito, purchasing director of Prada's Italy headquarters, the group was shown around the laboratories of the National Center of Quality Supervision & Inspection on Gold-Silver Products, which are responsible for testing a large percentage of precious metals and ornaments in China's domestic market.
D'Ippolito had several exchanges with technicians in the laboratories on inspection technology and asked about the standards and testing methods the center uses to assess accessories. The Italian spoke highly of SIMIT's testing ability and level.
After the tour, SIMT's technical personnel got familiar with the procedures and systems that the world's top brands use on their products, gaining valuable experience in testing and testing related products and the special requirements of these luxury goods companies.
