Furniture forum draws to a close

The 3rd China Furniture Standardized International Forum was held in Shanghai on Sept 13, with discussions focusing on the safety standards of furniture products and quality promotion in the furniture industry.
A total of 150 people from the China National Furniture Association and furniture enterprises attended the forum.
Jifei, the director of Shanghai Quality Inspection Institute, introduced the latest news about international standardization in the furniture industry.
Chen Xiaojun, the deputy director of the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision (SMBQTS), spoke about current policies in the industry and the future goals for standardized services in Shanghai.
The international forum provided a platform for the enterprisers and professionals at home and abroad to share their experiences regarding the implementation of standardization policies and the promotion of innovation.
Attendees held talks on topics ranging from the current state of the international furniture market, green furniture manufacturing and environmental standards, to how to standardize the furniture industry.
