Tao Yonghua meets with Canada’s metrology institute delegation
Tao Yonghua, deputy director of Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision (SMBQTS), met with delegation from Canada’s national metrology institute Measurement Science and Standards of National Research Council Canada (NRC-MSS) on June 1.

In the reception meeting, Tao briefed on the major businesses SMBQTS and Shanghai Institute of Measurement and Testing Technology (SIMT) have been working on, and spoke with prospects to further mutual communications and cooperation in primary standards (metrology), quantity traceability and talent exchanges.
Steele praised SMBQTS and SIMT for all efforts made to promote research in metrology. He hoped to gain more opportunities for both sides to co-work on electricity (as a science), ionizing radiation, and reference materials sectors.
